  • Sizes

12 × 36, 12 × 24 and 12 × 12 inches, sold by the piece in any quantity. Need something else? Custom sizes are made to order (see below).

  • Materials

Velour, our best-tested material for cutting echo, in six colors: Black, Grey Exposé, Natural Elements, Warm Stone, Mist-ery and Pumpkin Spice. Tap any swatch above to see it close up.

  • In the box

Each panel comes with its set of 4 mounting clips and installation instructions. No adhesive, so panels come off cleanly.

  • Echo, not soundproofing

These panels absorb reflections inside your room. They do not block sound passing through walls.

  • Hear every word

Hard, bare walls bounce sound around the room so voices smear and rooms feel loud. Velour panels soak up that reflected sound, so dialogue, music and conversation come through cleaner at a lower volume.

  • Sound better on every call

Velour absorbs most strongly between 1,000 and 4,000 Hz, the range where speech lives, in independent testing. Fewer reflections behind you means less hollow, echoey audio on Zoom, Teams and phone calls, and the panels double as a polished on-camera backdrop.

  • Looks like design, not foam

Upholstered Velour in six colors, with crisp seams and real depth. These read as a finished feature wall, not a studio afterthought, so they belong in a living room, bedroom or executive office as much as a booth.

  • No adhesive. No damage.

Each panel hangs on four clips, so there is no glue or tape to pull paint off the wall. Panels pop off by hand for cleaning, rearranging or moving house, and you can add more one at a time as your layout grows.

 How they change the room

Independently tested at Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories (ASTM C423): Velour NRC 0.85, SAA 0.85 (report RAL-A22-281).

What it means: Velour absorbs most strongly across the speech range (1,000–4,000 Hz), where voices, call audio and dialogue sit, so it is the best choice for cutting echo and reverberation.

Sound absorption coefficient by frequency: 0.14 at 125 Hz, 0.37 at 250 Hz, 0.77 at 500 Hz, 1.07 at 1,000 Hz, 1.17 at 2,000 Hz, 1.02 at 4,000 Hz.

Tested June 29, 2022 per ASTM C423-22 with ASTM E795 Type F-10 mounting (panels on their mounting hardware, about 3/8 in. from the test surface). Coefficients above 1.00 are normal for this method. NRC averages 250–2,000 Hz; SAA averages 200–2,500 Hz. Results describe the tested specimens; the change in your room depends on its size, surfaces and how much wall you cover.

Note: these panels absorb sound to reduce echo inside a room. They are not soundproofing and will not block sound passing through walls.

Placement

Where to hang them

Start at the first reflection points. Sit where you normally sit and have someone slide a mirror along the side wall. Wherever you can see your speaker, monitor or mic in the mirror is where a panel earns its keep. Treat those spots first, at ear height.

Then the wall behind you and in front of you. For calls and recording, the wall behind your monitor and the wall behind your chair do the most. For home theaters, the side walls beside the seating and the wall behind the screen.

Coverage. Many acoustics guides suggest starting around 20 to 30 percent of the wall area for everyday rooms and going higher for studios and theaters. Rugs, curtains and upholstered furniture already count toward that, so start with the reflection points, listen, and add panels until the ring is gone.

Where they work best

Studios

Studios

Recording, podcast and streaming rooms: break up flutter echo between bare parallel walls and soften the first reflections beside and behind your mic or desk.

Home Theaters

Home Theaters

Media rooms: soften side-wall reflections for clearer dialogue, so you are not constantly turning up the volume.

Offices

Offices

Conference rooms and open offices: reduce the echo that makes rooms feel loud, calls hard to follow and long meetings tiring.

Home offices

Home offices

Stop sounding hollow on Zoom and Teams. Panels behind your monitor and behind you help most, and the wall behind you doubles as a polished on-camera backdrop.

From measuring tape to finished wall

A thoughtful plan makes it easier to create a room that feels balanced and considered.

01

Measure Your Wall

Measure the width and height of your install area and find its center point. Not sure where to start? Clap once in the room: wherever the echo rings, that is a wall worth treating. You only need a drill, a level and a tape measure.

02

Plan Your Layout

Mix 12 × 12, 12 × 24 and 12 × 36 inch panels and colors into a pattern that fits your space. Focus panels at ear height on the walls nearest your desk, mic or seating, where reflections are most noticeable.

03

Mount the Clips

Use the included locator pins and a level to mark your first set of clips, then screw the clips to the wall. The first panel becomes the reference for marking each panel after it.

04

Hang your Panels

Press each panel onto its clips. Panels pop off again without tools for cleaning or a new layout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. Custom panels start at $30 per square foot, plus a $100 setup fee per custom size, regardless of quantity. Use Request Custom Sizes under the size picker to send us your sizes.

How are the panels mounted?

Each panel mounts with a set of 4 clips (included), in any orientation, on walls or ceilings, and comes off again without tools. No adhesive.

Why only Velour?

Velour is the only line we have had independently tested for sound absorption (NRC 0.85 at Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories), so it is the one we offer as an acoustic panel. Our other upholstery lines are available on our headboard and golf simulator panels. Order free swatches to see the six Velour colors in person.

How many panels do I need?

Start with the walls nearest your desk, mic or seating, at ear height. Clap once in the room: wherever the echo rings is a wall worth treating. Call 918.537.1776 or use the chat bubble if you would like help planning a layout.

Will they damage my walls?

No adhesive is involved. Each panel hangs on four small clips that screw to the wall, and the panel lifts off by hand. When you move the panels, you are left with screw holes, not torn paint.

Do these soundproof a room?

No. They reduce echo inside the room; they don't block sound passing through walls.

Do they help with bass or low rumble?

Less than with voices. In independent testing Velour absorbs 0.14 at 125 Hz and 0.37 at 250 Hz, rising to over 1.0 from 1,000 Hz up. That is typical for wall panels of this thickness. If deep bass is the problem, thick corner bass traps are the right tool and these panels are the complement, not the substitute.

How do I clean them?

Vacuum with a brush attachment or wipe with a damp cloth. Because the panels pop off their clips, you can take one down to clean it properly and hang it back up in seconds.

Do they work in bedrooms?

Yes. Velour panels soften hard bedroom walls too. Looking for a wall-mounted upholstered headboard? See our Retreat headboard panels.
