With a wide variety of cleaners it is hard to choose the right one to clean your upholstered wall panels. “2x more cleaning power” and “Stays clean for up to 4 months” can sound great but can be harmful to your beautiful new upholstered wall panels. Most soft cleaners will work great but here is our Pro-list for the best options to clean and maintain your upholstered wall panels.

1. Soap and Water

The easiest option for cleaning your upholstered wall panels is just normal dish soap and water. Fill a small dish with some water and drizzle a bit of dish soap into the water. Stir the soap around until thoroughly mixed. Take a clean, high quality rag/cloth and dip the cloth in the soapy water. Ring out the cloth over the bowl to ensure the cloth is only damp and not soaking wet. Wipe the panels until clean. If your cloth was too wet, take a second cloth or towel and dry the panel.

2. Degreaser

Using a degreaser similar to Zep Purple or Simple Green is our favorite way to clean upholstered wall panels. It’s as easy as spraying a clean cloth with degreaser and wiping the upholstered wall panel until clean. If a stubborn spot is present on the wall panel, lightly spray the wall panel tiles directly and rub until the spot is gone.

3. Magic eraser

A magic eraser is a very useful cleaning tool to keep around the house and especially useful to clean your upholstered wall panels. The magic eraser will work the best on smooth materials like our Vinyl Leather, Embossed Fabric, Fabric, and Gator materials.

4. Disinfecting wipes

Disinfecting wipes are a great way to keep your surfaces disinfected but aren’t always the best to clean tough surfaces or stains. Disinfecting wipes are however a great way to maintain the high quality look of your brand new upholstered wall panels. At least once a month, wipe down your wall panels with a disinfecting wipe to keep dust, dirt, and grime from making a home on the surface. If you are quick enough, disinfecting wipes can be used to wipe a mess before it becomes a stain. Just don’t use it as your last option.

5. Just water

A little bit of water can also be used to freshen up your wall panels after a while of gathering dust. Taking a damp cloth to the panel is a great way to wipe it down every few months. You can also put the water in a spray bottle and lightly mist the panel. Don’t forget to wipe the excess water off the panel with a high quality cloth!

6. Cleaning Velour

Our velour material can be quite the challenge to clean as it will soak in liquids. For light cleanings/dustings, just use a vacuum cleaner. If your vacuum has a crevice tool, this will be very helpful for getting in the seams between the panels.
